OUR MISSION

 

The Seneca Salamanca Chamber of Commerce supports our members and the greater business community by:

 

  • actively engaging in the economic revitalization of Salamanca and the Allegany Territory of the Seneca Nation of Indians,

  • providing member benefits and services that are valued by our membership including advocacy, and

  • building tourism through events for the benefit of our members.

 

The Chamber is a non-partisan, non-political entity that functions to benefit its members including both native and non-native businesses. 

 

 

 

MEMBERSHIP ADVANTAGES AT SENECA SALAMANCA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Marketing and Events Promotion
o Allegany State Park - expose your business to over 1.2 million annual visitors; a dependable stream of potential NEW CUSTOMERS all year long!
o Community Welcome Packs - visitors who register to stay at Allegany State Park receive a Chamber-sponsored welcome pack that includes discount offers, coupons and free gifts from our member organizations.
o Park Map Advertising - members can participate in this effective program which showcases member business advertisements on the back of the large size map that's made available to all park visitors.
o Spinning Rack Advertising - add your own 4x9 brochure or rack card to four Chamber-owned spinning racks located at the park's welcome center and at Seneca Gaming and Entertainment.

Member-sponsored Events, Promotions & Business News Announcements
o Publicity - we will publish information about your event or other business news in our monthly e-newsletter and in the Chamber's monthly "Community Connection" column which appears in the Salamanca Press newspaper. That's a $500 value!
o Grand Openings and Open Houses - celebrating an upcoming anniversary, new product or service introduction, or opening a new business? We can help you organize the media contacts, promote and advertise your special event. We'll even provide the ceremonial red ribbon and scissors!

Chamber-sponsored Events
I the past year the Salamanca Chamber hosted Twenty Two special events including the Salamanca Rockin' Ribfest, Silver Bells, the Annual Recognition Dinner, and Rock the Park (which the Chamber hosts in collaboration with Allegany State Park). Additionally, the Chamber treats the community to monthly movies at the Ray Evans Seneca Theater. Members can get involved and promote their businesses by sponsoring these events.

Advertising
o Online advertising- we provide business card-size listings on the "Coupons" tab on the Chamber website (www.salamancachamber.org). Also, your business appears in our website's Membership Directory, which is one of our most popular spots on our website.
o Local radio advertising discounts - new members receive a special one-time-only radio advertising package.
o Member referral program - all visitors and phone inquiries received at the Chamber are referred to Chamber members. We will also share the brochures, business cards, etc that you provide us with our walk-in visitors.

Other Chamber Membership Benefits and Discounts
o Group Health Insurance - the Chamber has partnered with Bene-Care, offering payroll services and health insurance plans with hundreds of different plan options.
o YMCA Discounted Membership - members of the Chamber receive specially discounted YMCA membership rates for company employees.
o EnergyMark Discounted Gas and Electric - Members of the Chamber receive up to 15% off gas and electric charges from EnergyMark.

Want to get more involved? - Attending board meetings, joining committees and participating in community events are all great ways of connecting you with other resources and services available from other Chamber members.
