 Summer Concert Series

Come and enjoy the music of the Summer Concert Series at Jefferson Street Park. It's FREE entertainment every Sunday evening from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Sponsored by Seneca Gaming and Entertainment and Indian Smokes and funded in part with a Community Arts Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts locally administered by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council.

 Ragtime: The Musical | August 20-22 | Ray Evans Seneca Theatre

The Ray Evans Seneca Theatre will come alive with the upcoming production of Ragtime: The Musical with a stellar cast rocking the roof. Show times are Friday, August 20 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, August 21 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sunday, August 22 at 2 pm. This production features Salamanca's own vocalist Kathy Black and are favorite blues singer Fontilla Timmons along with a cast of impressive musical and acting talent. The show is directed by Bradford's Todd Wagner. Don't miss this production sponsored by the Cattaraugus County Living Arts Association. Advance tickets are $10 and available at the Salamanca Area Chamber of Commerce office at 26 Main Street, or $12 at the door ($10 for children and seniors). Come and support the quality local arts and culture in Salamanca's own historic theatre. 
 

Salamanca Area Senior Center Schedule

 Salamanca’s seniors stay fit, stay active, and stay connected at the Senior Center located at 20 Main Street. Daily programs include exercise, social activities, bingo, card games, lunches and dinners, presenters, movies, music, special events, and more. August 27 - Myers Steakhouse & Inn presents "Superhero Night" theme activities

Join the fun staff at Myers for theme nights the last Friday of each month. All patrons who dress up will be entered into a drawing for a free overnight stay and dinner for two. Dress up like your own superhero or create your own hero persona. Free giveaways, beverage and food specials, and live music by Wagoner & Winston. August 28 - Another Day in Paradise: A Tribute to Michael Kerns

Ellicottville Rotary Club fundraising event for their Foundation for Youth program. Saturday, August 28, 4 pm - ?, Tamarack pool and cabana complex at Holiday Valley (indoors if inclement weather), Caribbean extravaganza and limbo show, dress casual, $65 per person with limited number of tickets being issued, contact Kegs Keighley at 699-8758 for tickets.

September 10-12 - Seneca Fall Festival

This annual celebration of community and culture is free and open to the general public. Activities take place at the Saylor Community Building & Grounds on Route 438 on the Cattaraugus territory in Irving, NY. Festivities will include Seneca art show, traditional dance demonstrations, native craft and food vendors, sporting tournaments, live music, carnval rides, and a parade on Saturday at noon. More information on the Seneca Nation of Indians Tourism site 


 September 24 - Myers Steakhouse & Inn theme night

Join the staff at Myers Steakhouse & Inn for the monthly theme night activities featuring food and beveral specials, live music, giveaways, and fun times. This month's theme is "Fictional Storybook or Cartoon Characters." Come dressed as your favorite character to create your own persona and automatically be entered to win free overnight lodging and dinner for two. Farmers Market Tuesdays

Stop by the weekly farmers market in Jefferson Park every Tuesday between 11 am to 5 pm for the freshest veggies, fruit, baked goods, maple products, honey, and more brought to you by REAP (Rural Enterprise Association of Proprietors). Now accepting EBT and debit cards - stop at the volunteer booth for more information.


 Cattaraugus County's Got Talent

Come and be part of the best of the best talent found right here in Cattaraugus County. Auditions are September 18 at 3 pm at the Salamanca High School auditorium and are open to all residents of Cattaraugus County. Talent categories include but aren't limited to singing, dancing, magic....anything goes. Cash prizes.

Salamanca Historical Society and Museum Speaker Series | Events through October

 Have you visited the Salamanca Historical Society and Museum lately? The displays change regularly and the professional staff is always busy adding artifacts to the collection and updating their resources to make museum visits fresh and enriching. Watch for the new expansion on the third floor. The speaker series is free and no reservations are required. The Salamanca Historical Society and Museum is located at 125 Main Street.
